This is hands-down the best sushi in the UC area. Real toro, aji, the uni is Hokkaido and always fresh! So odd that they picked such a far-out location. I have been less impressed by the other entrees, but who cares? FINALLY really legit sushi: I have not gone to Sakanaya once since this place opened.

did not receive jumbo black tiger prawn nor was fried rice "loaded" It was cabbage rice with soysauce and ONLY 2 pieces of Large shrimp with steak for $24. Never got call about 86'd item nor was I told I was not getting what I ordered when I picked up my food. Called next day to give them my feedback. "oh ok" was the response I got. Steak was disappointing, tasted like it was stored uncovered in a dirty fridge or slightly past due. Will not order anything else from there again. Plenty of other Japanese inspired restaurants to try from.

Only place you'll find king salmon nigiri in town! Average prices and good quality food! The sweet potato tempura is delicious. They also have blue fin Tuna so you know you aren't getting cheap farm raised cuts of fish.

Sumo sushi is my favorite new sushi place, I will direct all friends to go there. Not only do they have very fresh fish, but they also have a unique combination on their menu to try including stake tartare. Highly suggest.!!

I ordered the Hibachi Meal - 3 Protein with chicken, shrimp and scallops.
Lots of chicken... TWO shrimp and ONE scallop... do better.
Flavor was good. Teriyaki sauce was great.
