Food was okay. Dont get the cream cheese wontons. $8.50 and you only get 4 that are super tiny. I thought the yakitori chicken would have a grilled teriyaki flavor, but instead it seemed like it was plain chicken with some watery teriyaki sauce poured over it afterwards.

The Yellowtail Kama is always cooked perfectly and tastes delicious every time. I've ordered 3 times now. The Fried Calamari is in thicker slices, which I'm not used to. Still delicious.
I'm working my way through the different rolls. The Salmon Skin Tempura Roll(6pcs) was very good. The Kuchi Roll(8pcs) and Tuna Tataki Roll(8pcs) were well liked by all of us.
Consistently fresh and delicious. I will keep ordering here.

Best sushi I've had. Was my first time trying this place and I was unsure but my family loved it. I will definitely be going back. The fish was very fresh and soft, it basically melts in your mouth. The crispy rice with spicy tuna was packed. They definitely give you your moneys worth.

Fish quality was disappointing -- we eat at the Sushi Kuchi in Carlsbad frequently but this location's quality was noticeably poorer. Everything tasted a little off, but the sushi was nearly inedible. The fish slices on my salmon nigiri were falling apart before I even picked one up, and had visible fat and silver skin that should have been removed. I spit out my first bite and tossed the rest because it was mushy and had an off flavor. Didn't even try the Sweet Hawaiian roll because the avocado was mushy and brown already and the spicy tuna looked oxidized and like cat food.
It just felt like everything was a little old.... which is not what you want from a sushi restaurant. Definitely avoiding this location (but the Carlsbad one still slaps!!)
