The Bold Ramen was spicy, thick and flavorful. The chicken NEW: Hard Crunch Karaage is the best I've had in a long time. Probably the best you can get in these parts.

The quality of the tatsu has noticeably gone downhill. The biggest disappointment was the broth, which was served in such a small quantity that there was barely enough to properly enjoy the ramen. The overall consistency of the dish was also really bad, and the quality was not what I expected. For a restaurant that specializes in ramen, having so little broth and such poor consistency is especially disappointing. Considering the price, I expected a much better portion and overall quality.

Underserved. Unimpressive. The broth was flavorful, but the noodles seemed straight out of a maruchan stir fry pack. Minimal toppings. I was digging through the broth just to find anything. Inexcusably inauthentic and underwhelming.

WOW! There are a LOT of ramen places in LA, and most of them are good, but few reach the levels of awesomeness that this place does. Perfect fried rice, rich broth that isn't too heavy, perfect chewy noodles, beautiful soft-centered flavored egg... this is my go-to for ramen, now.

Okay I absolutely love this ramen. It is incredible. So good. But when I tell you that you pay $19 for two deli slices of chicken- it's an actual joke. I don't mind paying for good food, but come on, atleast add a full portion of chicken.
