Ugh, I'm obsessed with the Mentai Cream Sauce Udon at Udon Mugizo. So flavorful, unique, and perfectly portioned. I usually get it in store, but saw Udon Mugizo is on DD and thought'd get it to compare.
Packaging is great! The container has the udon noodles in the bottom and an inset plastic tray with the toppings, like the crispy tempura bits, so they don't get soggy during delivery. Soup is in a separate container too. At first, I thought the portion was smaller than in-store, but I was wrong: just as much food, and just as delicious.
Highly recommend! I still prefer going in store for the friendly staff and their outdoor patio, but the DD experience doesn't disappoint!

not the biggest fan of egg so i had the niku udon without the ontama, but the broth and noodle quality is always excellent! the meat and caramelized onions give it an even deeper flavor that makes me want more even though by the time i finish it im extremely full. as always, noodles should be broken apart in the broth before adding the toppings (that are graciously separated in a very convenient container) and it'll be as though its freshly served at a restaurant! will continue ordering here again. (i also like their curry rice bowl, the mini udon it comes with is just as flavorful as the full version!)

I placed my order on Sunday, and it arrived surprisingly fast! The udon quality was excellent, and the tempura was authentic and crispy — just like in Japan. The portion size was perfect, and I was amazed that the corn tempura came with four pieces! Everything was packed neatly and still tasted fresh. I’ll definitely order again — highly recommend Udon Mugizo for anyone craving real Japanese flavors!

I recently ordered from this place and was truly impressed by the quality of every dish — even for takeout. Everything was packed carefully and arrived fresh and flavorful.
The Tempura Zaru Udon had perfectly chewy noodles and the tempura was still crisp and delicious. The dipping sauce was well-balanced and refreshing.
The Mentai Cream Sauce Udon was rich, creamy, and packed with umami flavor from the mentaiko.
The Agedashi Tofu had a crispy outside and soft inside, soaked in a light and savory dashi broth.
The Takoyaki (5pc) came warm and well-seasoned, with just the right texture.
The portion sizes were generous and satisfying — great value for the quality.
Highly recommend for both dine-in and takeout. I’ll definitely be ordering again
