Loved Ulavacharu! The prices were very reasonable, the food superb. I'm not even a big chicken fan, but I'm ordering the konaseema chicken fry again. And how did they make the guttivankai gravy and saag paneer so good? The bread basket was enough to accompany 3-4 meals. If you don't like your food at least moderately hot, this is not your groove. If you like it Desi hot, I highly recommend.

Rice was a bit dry and flavorless. Chicken was juicy. Portion was quite low for the price I feel (at least coming from Midwest where the biryani portions were much larger)

I have been a long-standing customer of Ulavacharu and a big fan of their Gongura chicken biryani and Guntur chicken biryani.
However recently they have started skimping on the chicken. The taste is still great but there is no chicken to eat.
I hope they read this review and improve on their chicken portion in the biryani.

Amazing guntur chicken biriyani and chicken dum biriyani. Having lived in Chennai and Hyderabad, this is my favorite biriyani joint in the Bay Area. I order from here approximately once a week, the family packs are great in quality/quantity!

I got the Special non vegetarian boxed lunch. Totally worth it. 2 servings and it's delicious. Biryani is spicy too.
