I've never been disappointed eating here. The St. James Special came with enough perfectly seasoned and fried fish for 2, the dirty rice had the right amount of flavor and spice, the 2 Crawfish Pies was mmmmmm and the 1 Pork Chop delicious. It was money well spent!

The St. James Special has been my go-to since I first started eating here. Fish is always seasoned and fried to perfection, dirty rice is always spiced right. Today was my first time having their Red Beans and Rice With Sausage SM and once again, another satisfied meal. Beans were tender, sausage was fresh and seasoned. Between the 2 items, it's enough to easily feed 2-3 people.

I've order here quite a bit. The first couple of times the food was really good, EXCEPT the gumbo. The gumbo needs a lot of work. It's more like chicken and rice with sausage. Last night I ordered 2 plates both were supposed to be spicy lemon pepper. Instead we received 1 with regular sized wings (spicy hot) and the other HUGE wings that were a different flavor and the spicy rice was OLD!

The Crawfish Etouffee LG wasn't that great. It had more spice than it had flavor and I can tell they used old crawfish or frozen. It was a good size tho for the price. The Zydeco Pasta was ok. Not too much flavor and the cheese was way too thick for a pasta however it was also a good portion size. Would I recommend it? No not really. Would I order it again? No. Not really.

I ordered the 10 piece 10pcs Boneless. I was highly disappointed in the food this time around and it's one of my fave places to eat. The portion was great. It was fresh. However, half of my wings were still doughy, a few were still pink on the inside, the southern fried were supposed to be half southern fried half bourbon (that was not the case), and the hot and sweet heat were not separated in the box so the flavors overtook each other and you couldn't tell which was which. Disappointed in the service provided tonight. I might take a break from ordering again.
