fried chicken was nicely seasoned with the skin perfectly crunchy & the meat juicy. good ratio of thighs, wings & legs. veggie collards were fantastic & had some good heat to em.

Spicy Shrimp & Grits delish. Fried Okra hell nah, super crunch, gummy, and weird green sauce for dipping. This place doesnt have option to ask for utensils, hot sauce, or ketchup and wont answer phone. Ham Hock Collard Greens in a catdboard box is just poor packagin and disaster waiting to strike!

The Mac looked good, but tasted awful like nothing i have ever tasted before. The chicken was fried well, breading was a bit tough to my liking, but to each his own. Greens were good, micro sized 5 Piece Cornbread was good with the herb butter only. Not worth the near 70 spent.

listen I've never tried a beignet before I REFUSE to believe they taste like that. they aren't terrible but I was under the impression they would be slightly crispy and airy. these were more bready (kinda like tougher pretzel bread). they aren't BAD but I probably won't order beignets from here again. It wasn't a good experience and was kinda spicy. they are kinda small too but still good size and I'd say it's a good price (maybe)

I'm from the south. I have a high bar for things like biscuits and fried chicken. I think by California standards these were passable. They were not good though. The biscuits are flat, cakey - more the texture of cornbread than a biscuit. The butter was good, the jam was a weird watery mess. Chicken was a bit over done. Fried okra was on point though. I would eat this again if I was at someone's house and was being polite. Wouldn't pay for it again.
