There wasn't anything technically wrong with the food, but I didn't really like it. The flavors were very mild except for the chicken which easily overwhelmed everything else. This might be how it should be, though I'm accustomed to Latin dishes having a lot of flavor. They were out of the beef, so I didn't get to try it.

I Love Cocina Casera! The food is always excellently spiced and filling, the plantains are always fried to perfection, and of the restaurants at this price point, Cocina Casera easily makes my top 2 🙂

I had Tostones, Squashed Zesty Avocado & Plantain Chips, A la Plancha Bento Box w/ Vegan Chorizo and a Mock Sangria. Holy cow was it all good! I'm so happy this place hit Cap Hill!
