The Northern Peruvian Style Braised Lamb Shank and Roasted Short Ribs were incredible. The lamb fell off the bone and the short ribs cooked to perfection. Desserts were delectable.

I want to start by saying I love Salar in person, and that I have never had a less than five star in-person experience. Unfortunately, with DoorDash tonight, even living less than a mile away and clearly having a fast, careful Dasher (everything was still hot!), I had a meh experience. I often crave the Faroe Island Salmon, and it and the pita/hummus that they send as a complimentary starter were tasty. However, both the yucca cakes and carrots were obviously over cooked, and my first reaction when I opened the entree was to wonder if they had given me a "reject" entree that was still edible but not in-person dining/presentation quality. For the cost of Salar, feeling like I got dinner out of the "seconds" was a big disappointment. At least I will comfort myself with the Lucuma Croustillant afterwards? It is 100% their best dessert by a mile, and just as good if you save half in the fridge for tomorrow night!
