My boyfriend is Peruvian I'm American, we BOTH lived in Peru recently, for 6 months and moved back to the states not long ago so we know what good authentic Peruvian food should look and taste like. THIS FOOD IS AUTHENTIC, FULL OF FLAVOR, ARRIVED STEAMING HOT AND HAS THE FRESHEST INGREDIENTS....the meats are cooked to perfection, and the spices are the perfect balance....they have EVERYTHING you could want! they offer almost every single every famous Peruvian dish and they are all INCREDIBLE. There's not one dish they can't make perfect. The onion and cilantro mix that comes with most dishes is the most delicious thing I've ever tasted. WE WILL BE BACK.

I ordered the Lomo Saltado & it was awful. All my food, except for the rice was overcooked. I got like 3 whole fries which were overcooked & soggy. There is another place with the same name & they always have fresh food. I will make sure to double check where I am ordering from in the future; I love Peruvian food & it's not supposed to taste burnt. Even the oil on the food tastes burnt. I cannot get the taste out of my mouth. Also, the portions I've gotten in the past are way more than I got today. The photo shows what it looks like & I only took a few bites, trying not to waste all the $$ I spent for this order. Do not recommend this food cart at all. Go to the other one with the same name.

I traveled to Peru before and the flavors are authentic. My reasons for giving this restaurant such a low rating are due to a few things:
1. The beef in the Bisteck a Lo Pobre and the Lomo Saltado were overcooked. Don't let the filet mignon in the description fool you. Both beef dishes were hard to chew and swallow!
2. I had originally ordered the Papa Rellena and the restaurant was out. Instead of refunding me or contacting me regarding a substitution, they automatically added the Yuca Con Crema De Rocoto to my order. NOT COOL! It was too spicy and I nearly choked!
3. The prices are expensive for what you get and even insanely more expensive on DoorDash. There's at least a 20% markup!
I would not order from here again!

Arroz Con Pollo was the worst, dryest chicken I've ever seen. It was inedible. And since they only put that one piece of chicken in it, it was basically a $28 plate of rice. The rice flavor was decent at least, but again $28 for an order of Arroz Con Pollo even if it was perfect, is an absurd price to pay for such a basic meal, but I guess that's my fault for being nostalgic for a taste of home. If I was the restaurant I would be embarassed/ashamed to send such garbage chicken out the door to a customer. I guess this is what I get for trying to support other Peruvians :/
