Great food! Best hot chicken in NASHVILLE. The flavor at the Jefferson St location is better but the Smyrna location is still really good. They make everything fresh to order so it does take at least 20 mins. The mild is as high as I will go and I like hot stuff (from NOLA)

This is the absolute BEST Helene's in TN. I'm closer to the one in Smyrna but I drive to the Scarritt location because of their quality food and great customer service.

Best fried okra I've had in Tennessee. Chicken is really good also very light breading that I prefer

Unfortunately the chicken tenders were not thoroughly cooked. My mom had to pick around getting the cooked meat thus she could not finish due to that.
On a plus, the flavors and seasonings were outstanding!

I'll be fair. The cook on the chicken was great, fries not bad, and price good. But I ordered basic hot and it was lava. Too hot to enjoy, and I love some hot sauce, Cajun, Thai, etc with heat. Can't imagine what higher heat levels are like. In takeout order sauce got on everything so no cooling effect from bread or fries. Guess I'll have to get mild / naked next time. It was tasty, but still hurting.
