Gilman Brewing crafts small batch beer in the heart of Berkeley paired with the Bay Areas best Detroit-style pizza -- made fresh on site by Joyride Pizza.
The Vegan Primal Pepperoni (vv) was tasty, although it was strange to have the sauce on top of everything else, and the crust was an inch thick, which is probably more bread than anyone needs.

Supposed to come with marinara sauce; there was none. I added ricotta, brusssels sprouts, and sausage. Everything looked burnt and tasted burnt. No size selection so I assume this personal size is what's available for $30+ bucks-delivered. Small, burnt, tasteless bread. End of that experiment for me.

Go to for Detroit style this area. They have vegan and Vegetarian Primal Pepperoni (v) the primal pepperoni is a tad salty but still really good. Their pepperoni is always a fan favorite. Ther sauce is super yummy and just overall great ingredients. Love this place.

Meatzza with mushrooms added was delicious. Loaded with topping, fluffy and crispy crust. Sauce was mellow, and went well.
The brussel sprouts were like a warm shredded salad with a little kick of heat from the cherry peppers. The dish tasted like veggies, not overly dressed but had great flavor, and a little crispy texture here and there.

Excellent Detroit pizza with the perfect crispy-chewy-fluffy crust and veggie-forward creative toppings. A must-eat whenever we're at Gilman Brewing. My favorite is the Sweet Heat!
