Portions of beans and rice could be a little bit larger but the flavor more than makes up for it."

"Honestly, nothing to write home about but not a terrible meal. The Chicken Taco with Chile Colorado were fine, kind of bland even with the salsa rojo (which, tbh, was also bland). Husband enjoyed the tamale from the Combination Plate but didn't care to finish the enchilada which was in his words "mostly just sour cream and cheese". Coming from him, that's pretty wild bc he's usually a dairy guy. He said his taco was fine. The Chicken & Rice Soup was fine, again, nothing exciting or special but nice and hot. The Sopapillas was a travesty however. I like to try sopapillas everywhere I eat that offers them because they're always a little different. This one was DARK brown, I should have taken a picture before I threw it out, I've never seen a sopapilla so dark before. It was vaguely mushy like the oil wasn't hot enough, with absolutely no cinnamon sugar on it? And a little thing of Smuckers honey on the side. "The General Tso's Chicken Dinner was enjoyable and had good flavor overall. I selected the hot and spicy option, but unfortunately, the dish did not have the level of heat I expected. It definitely hit the spot in terms of taste, but since I specifically requested it hot and spicy, it missed the mark in that area. I would love to see the restaurant improve the spice level when customers select that option.
On the positive side, the meal was reasonably priced, and the portion was filling enough for one person. Rice was included and complemented the General Tso’s Chicken nicely. Like a good sauce completing a dish, the rice helped balance the flavors and made the meal feel more complete.
The packaging was also handled well, and I appreciated the extra attention to detail. A fortune cookie, napkins, and a plastic spoon were included, so nothing essential was missing from the order.
Overall, the General Tso’s Chicken Dinner was flavorful, filling, affordable, and a good value for the money. My main recommendation is to improve the heat level when a customer specifically requests hot and spicy. With stronger spice to match the already enjoyable flavor, the dish would be even better.
