From Zach Pollack of Alimento, Cosa Buona in Echo Park offers a fresh take on the neighborhood pizzeria. The current space was a pizza joint from 1959 to 2015, so an old-school, red-sauce ghost linger…
This has been my go to pizza place since I moved to Echo Park from the East Coast. The mozzarella sticks are crazy good and when you are craving a Cheese or Pepperoni pizza this will hit the spot. Might be a little on the pricier side ( only reason for a 4 star and not 5) but unlike some other places I have tried the food is consistent and of high quality.

I see why LA Eater gushed about the Stepmother sandwich. Incredibly tasty and definitely one of the best Italian sandwich I've ever had. Also quite sizeable portion-wise. Highly recommend!

Mozzarella sticks, while expensive, are quite good. Garlic bread is a waste of $6. Literally two pieces of bread.

Salad was super fresh and appreciate the dressing on the side without having to ask. The pizza here is great - the crust is kind of floppy which is OK with me. The ingredients are high quality. Delicious. Highly recommend.

The eggplant was on point, as always. The mushroom veggie pizza was okay. I wouldn't get it again though. Way too small for $21 and not enough veggie toppings.
