Awazé, founded by Azeb Mekonnen in February 2015, is a small family-owned business in Cary, NC that serves authentic Ethiopian and Eritrean food. Awazé is a condiment made from garlic, wine, and berbe…
I got the Lamb Awaze Tibs, Side Gomen (collard greens), and Side, Misir (lentil stew). Everything tasted fantastic and had great flavor. However, the sides were $9 each and the portion did not match the price. Same for the lamb tibs. It was simply not enough food for the price they are charging. However, lots of injera was included in every plate.

I got the Awaze Tibs today. It was wonderful, tasty & the delivery was fast. Sorry I couldn't take a pic, I was too hungry & in a rush. 😅 I recommend ordering it without onions, because there's garlic already in the sauce.
I was full, but yes portions are small, compared to what one would get at other Ethiopian Restaurants in other States! 😒

I just finished my Assa tibs.., which is basically fish in spicy sauce. It was delicious! Very filling. I didn't want any tomatoes so I promptly called the restaurant to tell them to hold them. For some reason, Doordash states this particular restaurant doesn't accept special instructions? 🤔Anyway, the lady who answered was pleasant! That's how you do business with great customer service. My only disappointment was that they didn't have Samosas. I always get those when I dine at Ethiopian Restaurants in Atlanta & California.
This restaurant food though is authentic just like I had in other states. Keep it up! Thanks!

Taste is really good! Portion sizes are a bit small though, and injera a little dry. I will order again though because it's the only ethiopian in my area on DoorDash and overall I've enjoyed it.
