This is my first time trying Firehouse Subs, and so glad I did. I was in the mood for a really good sandwich. They had 50% off 3 selections so that hooked me. The Hook & Ladder® was one of the tastiest sandwiches I've had in a long time. It was customized exactly how I ordered it and very generous portions of all the good things inside the bread. And the white bread - soft and delicious, melt in your mouth good!
I'm going back for another one today.

The French dip was not toasted and the wheat roll had little texture or flavor. There was only a small amount of Au jus on the bread rather than a container of Au jus to dip in . There were very few mushrooms, which I had paid extra for. Definitely not worth the money.

We have eaten here a few times and we've always had a great experience. The size of the sandwich that you get is great and always very filling. The sandwiches always taste freshly made and are prepared well. I tried the Smokehouse Beef & Cheddar Brisket™ this time for something warm and it was delicious. The cheddar wasn't overwhelming, the bread was warm and crunchy, and the barbecue sauce was tangy. I highly recommend trying them again if you haven't already.

The sandwich was very disappointing. They didn't put the deli mustard on that I had requested, but the biggest problem were the "meats"...corn beef and pastrami should be very flavorful and they were not flavorful at all. The "meat" texture was like it was a meat product, not real meat. I think I've given up on this store.
