Shahi Gosht Biryani (weekends only) was a great surprise! definitely spicy, and the meat chunks were perfectly tender. there are a few pieces of bone, and marrow which were great but some don't like that. huge portion too

They don't provide free raita with biriyani which is a standard side for biriyani in every other restaurants and the one I received for $3 was very small (5-10ml) not even worth to what we are paying. They are over charging and very expensive.

bad rating is for packaging....
green sauce opened before delivery, and was all over everything....a real pain to cleanup prior to eating

Ordered the 'Goat Dum Biryani (Talapakattu)' in sets of two atleast twice before I had tried it out once.  It was good ONLY the first time. It was a complete waste of money afterwards because:

(a)  The biryanis were full of big bones and tons of fat. There were chunks of white fat all across the biryani and very less lamb
(b)  The last time I ordered, I called them specifically to tell them my previous order was very poor and I needed good quality biryani this time. It was in vain. The last set of biryani they served was so poor, I have vowed never to order non-veg food from this place again

(c)  I have had the same experience with their Chicken Dum Biryani. They increased the price of all their biryanis by $0.5 every quarter since the past year, and their food quality is only going down
(d)  Their biryanis spoil v easily even when kept in fridge because their ingredients are NOT fresh

I had called Himalayan Kitchen after placing my order of Goat Dum Biryani to specify that I did Not want rolls of fat served in the place of goat meat in the biryani. Yet my boxes of Biryani contained full of Rolls of Fat and rice with very little meat!!! This is for $32 worth of food BEFORE TAXES. I am never going to order Biryani from them again. The food sucks big time and the quality has deteriorated over the last year !!
