Ok, I'm lazy and rarely write reviews, but I've heard about this place. After trying it I've got some strong opinions. I'll go from worst to best. The cornbread: I think they overmixed the batter It's good a good flavor, but is a tough crumb. The banana pudding: love the chunks of banana, good flavor, but a little gritty texture. The Koolaid: too expensive for the amount (bout 16 oz) but the grape flavor and sugar amount took me back to my childhood. $5 was a bit too much but no where else has Koolaid to go so I will be buying this again. Maybe add 1/2 gallon size. The brisket (fatty): HOLY MOLEY! So good! Moist, almost wet. Incredible, intense meaty flavor! Sauce that came with it is sweet and delicious. I'm a 56 year old guy that has eaten A LOT of brisket. This was the best ever! I will be getting this again.

The brisket was amazing! Delicious! The ribs were not very flavorful. The mac and cheese had a gritty texture and the greens were very good although extremely salty. I'm saving the banana pudding for later. Looks delicious- very small portion.

Brisket and Spare Ribs were some of the best barbecue I've ever had . The Hen House wings were really saucy and had a ton of flavor . Glad Elk Grove has a top notch restaurant

There was so much hype about Big Horn coming to Elk Grove that I was excited to see it on Door Dash. The ribs tasted good but were dry. The brisket was very tough I ordered the lean maybe the fatty which was an option would have been more tender. It had a pepper crust which I didn't like. The most disappointing thing is that everything had marinated pickes, onions and jalapeños on it. It was so spicy my mouth was on fire. I might get the ribs again if I went into the restaurant so I could make sure there were no pickles, onions and jalapeños but I would not get the brisket. I miss SoCal where great bbq is everywhere sadly still none to be found in Sacramento.

The meat was extremely tender and well seasoned not overcooked or dry, the cornbread was very good, ease up a little on the heat for the greens, they were cooked perfectly just a little too spicy !
