Nile Cafe, located at Redondo Ave and Anaheim St. in Long Beach, is a Hookah Lounge and Mediterranean Cuisine. It serves delectable Mediterranean cuisine and the best hookah in Long Beach, California.
Best Mediterranean food I've had. People I've met from Libia, Egypt, and countries near there have told me this is as authentic as it gets!

The only reason this place gets a higher rating is because they are the only semi-heathy place open late. The falafel came with somewhat undercooked patties and a small amount that wasn't indicated in the discription and the lentil soup was nothing like what they showed in the pictures. Im somewhat disappointed but I was able to sauce better at home. Thanks anyway.

I got the Beef Kabob plate. It came with two beef logs that were really tender but lacked flavor. The pita bread is obviously store bought and I could not enjoy the hummus at all as it had a strong alcohol flavor. Like a whole shot of vodka was mixed in. I called in to inquire about it and the man denied any alcohol going into it. Not sure what other ingredient could have such a strong taste. Also the rice was just plain white short grain rice. Nothing special.

Protein portion was very small (3 pieces)and the salad was 95% lettuce. What I did receive tasted really good.

the falafel was cooked in too hot of oil resulting in burnt thin chewy crust with the center still raw. I was lead cook at a Mediterranean restaurant named Saca's in Clermont. They didn't add the extra pickle or extra Tahini as I requested instead they did not add any. My sandwich was pitiful, obviously rushed without one care on the quality.... the cook who made me this meal has lost their fire, their passion & love for cooking has died long ago.
