Malawax (Somali Crepes) was the best crepes I've ever had, I ate them plain & could easily get addicted to them. Very large & satisfying. Bur (Mandazi) also very good, slight sweetness, but not overly so. Original J's Sambusa(beef) the best in town, great flavor & spice without overly spicy heat, get the sauce, it's the perfect complement.

Slightly disappointed that few dishes did not match the photos on the menu. We got 1 sambusa with no sauce, instead of 4 plus sauce. We also got no rice in our goat liver dish as depicted in images.
Sambusa and goat liver both tasted great. There could have been less lettuce and more liver meat though. Not enough sauce for the lettuce salad. Quesadilla was dry, rubbery, and its fries were completely soggy.
This place would be much better to dine in person and I do recommend a few items, just not through delivery or pickup.

Absolutely amazing Original J's Sambusa. the sauces available here are homemade, unique, and delicious. this is my favorite place for an after work pick-me-up

Everything tasted good; the food was flavorful but I have some issues with the Goat. I'm no stranger to dishes like this but honestly there were more bones than meat. Normally I wouldn't mind some bone as long as there were opportunity for snagging some marrow. This felt like family leftovers after all of the guests have picked out the choice bits. All of the bread dishes were good, only critique would be the dryness of the meat in the Original J's Sambusa. I feel like a signature dish should hit every time. If the Goat can't steal the show add a little filler in the form of veggies stewed with the Goat. No reason to charge $20 for Goat, generic salad mix and some bread. Flavor was there, just missing some key elements of being a spectacular meal. :(

Somali Tea was very good, but much sweeter than I expected. Original J's Sambusa(beef) & Malawax (Somali Crepes) are always amazing.
