"I had ordered veggie pho from Asian Bowl 2 weeks ago and loved it. This time was a very different experience. They made the Dasher wait for over 30 minutes, and when it finally arrived, the noodles were all clumped together, there were barely two stalks of bok choy, the seitan seemed old, and there just four pieces of tofu (which was an extra charge) and they did not send any of the toppings such as bean sprouts, cilantro, lime, which typically come with this soup.
The roti Prata was disappointing as well: oily and overcooked.
I did love this place on my previous experience. I'm hoping the next time will be better."

Lastly the chicken chow mein was also a mixture of good and bad. The color was really dark brown. I've never seen chow mein so dark. That's neither good nor bad, just interesting. A good thing was the taste and tge noodles weren't dry. On the downside it was very oily, and the number of ingredients was limited. There were no mushrooms or cabbage or green onions. The chicken pieces were small and not enough. Lastly the portion size was small. It's not a good value unless on sale. I wouldn't order it again

"Sala Thai Fremont has consistently been the best Thai food I've had in the entire Bay area for the last 5 years I've lived in Fremont. I sometimes make the mistake of eating at/ordering from some other Thai restaurant, but get burnt so badly in taste and flavor that I end up going to Sala Thai within a week to cleanse my palate (happened most recently last week when I ordered from LeMoose Crepery since I wanted their chocolate crepe for dessert - horrible red curry compared to Sala Thai's rich and creamy Red Curry. Portion sizes are average, food is always freshly made. I've had their Pad See Ew, Pineapple Fried Rice, Red/Green/Yellow/Panang curries, the Roti Canai, and some apps. All are superb and recommended. The Garlic rice deserves a special shout-out!"
"I was craving Pineapple Fried Rice. Didnt dare to order from restaurants unfamiliar to me, so ordered from Sala Thai but I was so disappointed with the fried rice. A plate of bright yellow rice, no flavor. I am sure they are capable of making this dish like Banana Leaf, Milpitas and it will a bomb ! Just my suggestion. Wasted $22 on this , never again !"
