"We have dinner here almost every week on our way to Bar 1642 to hear ragtime music. The menu is huge and everything tastes home cooked. Crazy variety! The best onion rings, salads, burgers, lasagna and enchiladas! Lamb shanks and sirloin tips! I love their liver & onions, my friend gets their blintzes! The staff is welcoming and eager to please. "The shrimp was fresh & decent size. Corn was delicious, especially when soaked in the stinkin special. The sauce was SUPER garlicky & oily (I kinda wonder if I actually got the Stinkin' Special or they accidentally sent the Garlic Sauce instead??). Based on what I believed to be the Stinkin' Sauce, if you don't want garlic breath rethink getting the "stinkin' special" sauce. Regardless, it was delicious. I ordered the chicken Chicken Parmesan with cheese bread (quite a challenge since every element is not typically without wheat), and minestrone soup. I expected simply gluten-free pasta, but every single item I received was marked "gluten free" on their packaging, even the crostini slices meant for dipping in the minestrone. More importantly, it was all delicious.

My complaint is consistency in the amount of fish. The 12 piece box is 12 pieces every time. The box is never short. The problem is when pieces are mostly small thinner pieces and not a mix with thicker pieces. My kid may say, "Dad, we didn't get any love today." This is the only corn meal fried fish that delivers unless I go into Los Angeles."

Sides cannot be ordered on the dinner menu but both lunch and dinner are sold from open to close. The 12 piece snapper box at lunch is $25 but $30 at dinner. The thin pieces of fish is in no way worth $30. The tartar sauce is bland. The food was disappointing and expensive. We will not order again."
