"Jersey Mike's is about the closest thing to a genuine Philly Cheese steak that I've had in California, since moving out here in 1983 from New Jersey. where they also make bomb cheese steaks and subs. It's hard to compete with East Coast cousins in general, something to do with the altitude, the water, I'm not entirely sure? I just know the East Coast hooks it up, most diners are family owned. A little bit of cash gets you allot of food that's always bomb. Here, allot of cash gets you a tiny bit of food, that looks amazing in your plate....but hey, I'm here to eat!!!
