I've usually ordered the sushi deluxe from here, we get the 20 piece chef's choice which is always delicious and a great variety. It has several pieces with jalapeño (the allergy alert doesn't have that as a choice unfortunately so I can't eat everything but I get enough). Edamame Steamed is always excellent (a little under salted for my taste but I have salt) and the Unagi (Freshwater Eel) is one of the best in Austin (not quite as crispy as I prefer but the perfect amount of sauce).
This time I was having a craving, so I ordered the Chilean Sea Bass
Let me tell you, it was savory and sweet and umami, light and flaky. I finished it and wanted to order another.
I highly recommend Ebisu for Japanese cuisine. A little on the pricey side but overall worth it.

The nigiri was spot on and pretty decent prices for good quality fish! I will say though, the Chicken Katsu Bento was subpar... katsu was super thin and the chicken dry. The tempura vegetables that came with the bento was actually quite good and traveled well! The Special Philadelphia roll was delicious, I added asparagus. Would order that one again. The Yellotail roll was chefs kiss, as far as good size fish in the roll. Would order again, just probably the nigiri and sushi and stay away from the Bento's.

the course b is soooo good. loved 6/10 of the nigiri and the spicy tuna is solid. amazing value for the portion size and super fresh. def would order again but may ask for a different type of nigiri if possible

Tuna/salmon not in/on every piece, slices are real thick, no taste at all you fell just sauces - no else, terrible quality

Genuinely the freshest most flavorful sushi around. The fish is amazing and high quality, great portion for the prices, 10/10 will order again.
