Randy is the best chinese food in ridgewood. Food always fresh, hot and the portions are ok

We have a Chinese restaurant right around the corner but wanted to venture out and see if there were any others that we could add to to the roster. I filtered reviews that were 4 to 5 stars and Ralph's was one that came up. Everyone's taste buds are different and it is always a gamble to try a new place. In this case the gamble did not pay off for us. The gravy for the shrimp egg foo young was salty as was the chicken wings in garlic sauce. The rice kernels in the house special fried rice were hard and it just was not very flavorful. The egg roll wrapper had a weird taste; and if you pressed me about it I would say it did not taste fresh. The shrimp with broccoli was good. In terms of the wonton soup, the soup tasted like others I have had, but the wrapper on the wontons was very think and the meat which seemed to be less then a teaspoonful was bland. We also ordered fried chicken wings but did not try them and to be honest not sure we will. Again, these are just my opinions but I have learned a lesson. Sometimes the grass is not greener on the other side.

FOOD WAS COMPLETE TRASH! I ordered chicken wings with french fries the chicken was either old refried or both on top of that. The flesh was a yellowish color. Maybe it was the oil that he used to frighten but overall it was not appetizing at all never ordering this again.

I asked for extra bbq sauce & got none. It was dry, and mostly fat pieces. Very unhappy because I'm a regular at this place.
