Yuca balls lacked taste whatsoever and the bowl was full of rice and beans, three fried yuca and three cracklings. Not worth it for the price

Had this place twice now and gotta say best mexican food ive had in lake charles period. Tacos were well seasoned/juicy and the Quesadillas were out of this world. Very well priced for today's standards. The sauce given for each item was very well made and gives its own impact of flavor in addition to what already was there. Im never one or reviews but after the underwelming experinces ive had in LC with Mexican food, this is a breath of fresh air. Add chips to menu plz :)

Omggg every was absolutely amazing! The Dirty Rice with Beans and avocado ( I added the crema on top along with the cheese that came with my plantains.) was heaven in my mouth and so comforting. The plantains were just like my mom used to make them. Also got a beef empanada and washed it all down with a Frescolita ! #droolworthy

I put off trying Orinoco, despite its many rave reviews, because of the relatively high prices. They finally got me with a two for one deal on a Grilled steak arepa . The food is, indeed, very good. The ingredients are high quality and preparation is expert. The arepa had the intensity of street food with the polish of a restuarant dish. I see why so many customers are pleased with Orinco's offerings.
This is, at least in part, South American Cuisine, Colombian or perhaps Venezuelan. Google tells me that the Orinco river wends its way through both of those countries. I long to know more about the restaurant and the cuisine, and I will be back to try other dishes. I just wish they were a little more affordable. I know I may have to pay more for special dishes, but I don't understand why I should pay a premium at Orinco, for a simple, for a simple dish like Flan. And it's too bad, because I love flan. 😊
