Everything we ordered was fantastic!!! The burger was delicious and too much to eat at one sitting. I got 2 meals out of it. The pork chops were huge and cooked to perfection. The mashed potatoes were homemade and the gravy was so good and they didn't skimp on the gravy portion. 2 meals out of this one as well. We ordered delivery and it was all still very hot and fresh.

Instructions were not followed and there was a poor amount of meat - it stopped a couple of inches before the edge of the bun. In fact, most of the sandwich was just bread and looked NOTHING like what is shown in the menu. A total waste of money.

Food was hot, fresh, and delicious! The Chicken Gizzards was crispy and juicy, the okra had a perfect crunch. Great portions and everything hit the spot!

I've ordered from Chicken King a number of times and have even ordered the fried pork chops five or six times in the past. It has always been quite good. Until this time...
The pork chops were very greasy. The meat even looked different - a very odd, dark colored meat with the batter coating so greasy that it was not even sticking to the pork chops - if that was even what this actually was. I don't know.
I called Chicken King just to let them know, figuring they'd want to correct this for the future. I was not asking for anything. The woman with whom I spoke was very abrupt and quite indifferent so I asked to speak to the owner. She said that he was not there but that she was his wife. She was insistent that nothing was wrong with my meal and that it was made the same way as always using the same products. That was clearly untrue.
I said that I was not looking to argue about it and that the call was just to inform her of a bad experience. She said, "Okay."
I told that she had just lost a longtime customer and she seemed just fine with that. I guess that I am too.

I ordered two shrimp & fish plates. Collard greens were good. Rice & gravy was okay. Hush puppies were undercooked on the inside. Fish was unseasoned & not crispy at all. Shrimp was okay. Mac n cheese wasn't the best. Fries were horrible.
