• 11/24/24Everything was so delicious! With the Burrito Bowl the beef was tender and seasoned perfectly, and the rice and beans were all moist. I do like my guac chunkier but thats nitpicking. The Smokehouse Stuffed Jalapeños were very good too and the queso, the bacon wasnt too salty. They give a hefty amount of chips and salsa and i loved the spice of the salsa.

• 9/1/25Always INCREDIBLE!!! I am from south Texas and this hits close to home good food from the 956 is. The portion was perfect, not overly filing, the price was great and it is always fresh!!! I treat myself here on my birthdays and when I have a little extra money. 100/10 recommend for those who love authentic Mexican/tex mex foods! Also dining inn is always a great time, the staff is always incredible.

• 11/20/25Two orders of sour cream enchiladas, one with a side of black beans and one with refried beans. The portions were sizable enough for a solid lunch the next day. The plating was colorful and fresh.
Also had the Queso El Head Honcho which was surprisingly tasty, especially reheated the next day!
Easily one of the best DoorDash values in this age of crazy inflation.
Counting the days until we order again!

• 3/2/23I ordered 3 appetizers that my, myself, and the kids to share, because I expected them to be big enough appetizers for a table to share.
The combination Traditional Nachos was the biggest disappointment. There were less than 10 in all. They are half the size of c h ili's and cost more. The chicken Quesadillas were nothing special. Again, I paid twice the price for a smaller, and less impressive chicken Quesadilla, and the drive-through's taste better.
The Queso El Head Honcho... I liked it, but it didn't really taste like queso. The was zero heat. There were jalapeños and salsa on the side, but the seasoning of the cheese was lacking dimension in my opinion. It is a mild cheese sauce. It is smooth and creamy. I might get again, for myself, because it is so mild. If I want queso, though; I will do T I N O's or C H U Y's. Maybe "el Norte white cheese" is supposed to taste less like Tex-Mex, and I just had the wrong expectation.
The vegetables on the side & the guacamole were very fresh, and obviously prepped the same day, and that's why I am giving them four stars instead of three. I mean I don't usually notice the tomatoes being diced uniformly & and being vibrant and firm - so, yeah, they get a star! Kudos to the back of the house.

• 8/8/22Dry. Stale. Enchiladas very small. Extremely small portion of rice and beans. Two small plastic containers size of a fist. Not a family meal. You are better off heating up frozen taquitos with cheap cheese melted on top and microwave some instant rice instead of spending 40 bucks.
