• 4/14/25The honey glazed "build a bowl" was INCREDIBLE! I chose udon noodles, chicken, and broccoli, then added cashews. OMG!! My new favorite meal! I'm seriously planning to use that to meal prep--I can get two, maybe even 3, lunches from one order. The dumplings were a treat, with just the right punch of jalapeño. The chocolate cake was palatable, but pretty dry and unremarkable. I guess when you're that good at the main meal, dessert isn't a priority. • 1/7/25I tried to cancel my order on DoorDash after reading reviews from this restaurant but was unable to.
It looked good, smelled good but after my first bite it tasted like dried out mystery meat. There was only 2 halve pieces of broccoli. All I ate was the rice and the egg role.
Bottom line almost $30...including Door Dash fees... worth of food went in the trash...ugh
I do not recommend Mei's Mei's restaurant

• 12/4/25complete waste of 130$ my wife and I are chefs we always want to venture out and try local places but this food was awful. both the tso and orange chicken were way over breaded with the smallest pcs of chicken and soggy the dumplings were cold an soggy the tempura shrimp had no flavor. Austin is s saturated with these types of awful places. save your money. the worst part of the meal was the veggie paste egg rolls. ZERO texture just fried mushy paste. stay away

• 6 days agoI paid extra for shrimp, but I only received 6 pieces. This is not acceptable. If you charge customers for extra items, you should provide what they paid for. Very disappointing.

• 3/27/26We've tried Mei Mei's before in the past and everything was great, but the last time we ordered, something tasted off with both Fried Rice and Fried Rice, Jalapeno Spicy. It's like it was old rice that wasn't fried. We've ordered extra shrimp on one of the fried rice plates, but it didn't look like there was any extra shrimp. The jalapeno rice didn't have any jalapenos in it nor was it spicy. The Fried Rolls- Chicken (3 Pcs), Fried Cheesecake , and Side of crispy noodle were the only delicious items. It's just a shame that the main course was bland and missing the extra items that we paid for.
