I had exactly 7 1/2 fries in my order. Nearly $5 for less than 1/2 an order of fries is ridiculous.

Fries are ridiculously overpriced and stale along with virtually every other item from the menu I've ordered in the past several years. It's the overall problem with Portillos since the company was bought out from the founding owner Frank Portillo... they no longer care about quality & service only money! All the shrinkflated greed leads to 10 times out of 10 the experience and food being profoundly underwhelming and overpriced, not meeting the expectations of people who experienced it before and those experiencing it for the first time. Once a great staple of Chicagoland it's just another corporate mediocre overpriced suss pit surviving on its brand name rather than the product it produces.

Fries well done is sooo good. Next time I would also add the cheese sauce to them. Cost extra but oh boy is it worth it.
