I have never written a review for any restaurant on DoorDash before, But let my tell you Rib Shack honestly deserves one, and let me tell you why.
I am pretty much a creature of habit, so I get the same meal when I decide not to eat homemade lunch. Every time I order out consistently, for over almost the last year, they have always had good service and good food, and they always go above and beyond.
For example, today I ordered a catfish meal and a brisket slider. Nowhere in my order did I request a drink, and yet, just for great customer service, they threw in two drinks.
Everything is always well prepared and kept warm. The portions are a really, really good size, and it tastes like authentic soul food for a fraction of the price. You would pay the same for a full meal at some of these other places that claim to be the best in town.
Lastly, I think the biggest bang for your buck when it comes to Rib Shack is their catering. So, if you’re catering for a work lunch, a family gathering, or some type of church function, you’re going to get tons of food, really well prepared, warm, in nice foil pans, looking fantastic, and it’s going to cost you nowhere near what it would to get it from Famous Dave's or Dickey's or some of those other "fake" barbecue places.
But that’s just my opinion, and everyone should definitely give Rib Shack a shot.

I have been ordering since they catered my family's Thanksgiving meal and they are consistent with the way the food is made.
I've order this meal 5 times and each time it's like a homemade meal.
They do not skimp on the portions as many many restaurants do. This is enough for me to eat 2-3 times.
Thank you Rib Shack you have a new fan

• 2/12/26I have had the food several times and for the most part the food is spectacular from the catfish and shrimp to the sides in particular the yams are the best in the city the spaghetti is delicious. My only food concern is the rib tips are tough and get seasoned better, but the brisket is juicy and tender and I will get it again. Please give it a try you won't be disappointed!!

• 10/16/25Everything was amazing!! The meat was perfect and all the side dishes were delicious! The Mac and cheese was the best I've had! The yams and cabbage was perfectly cooked and flavorful! I will for sure be ordering again! Reminds me of my favorite place in Chicago!!

• 4/3/26Mac N Cheese was bland but its nice serving size. I love the yams if you put the mac n ccheese and yams on the same fork it is heavenly. 2 Pieces Fried Catfish Fillet Dinner the catfish is breaded to perfection. french fries 🍟 were bland.
