BEST pizza we've had in our 70 yrs. we ordered pep, mush & sau. u could not c the cheese 4 the amount of toppings & they were not in a single layer, they were several LAYERS deep. This is our 4ever pizza place.

First time trying Sals, I like the NY theme and they get points for having Black and white cookies but for the price the pizza was not good enough even from a Southern California perspective ( not known for our pizza, good spots aren't that common). I'd give it a pass if it wasn't pushing the NY presentation but because it is I have to judge accordingly. My Dads side of the family is from Bronx/yonkers so I grew up visiting there and Jersey and also scouting out the good local places in SD and OC. The biggest issue was the crust, I ordered well done and got undercooked floppy pizza, crust didn't have much of a taste either. Wasn't much sauce on it so didn't really notice what it tasted like it was so subtle. Cheese was good quality though and tasty.

Grandma Brooklyn Cheese was delicious! Crust, cheese, sauce- all so good. 1.5 slices was enough bu will look for to leftovers.

Plentiful and tasty toppngs couldn't overcome the tasteless gluten free crust. Being gluten intolerant, I couldn't check out the other crust offerings. The sauce seemed a bit bland too. On the positive side, the garden salad was fresh and plentiful. It was pricey as well. Was not for us.

Sandwich and pasta were noticably lower quality than the Foothill Ranch location. Ordered Penne, but received spaghetti which was very watery. Sandwich not put together well, looks like it was cut in half with a dull knife which allowed small pieces of paper to get lodged into the sandwich unfortunately. The pizza was good though!
