• 9/2/23The "standard" BBQ items and sides are as good as anywhere else in DC, but the Turkey, Hushpuppies, and smashburgers set this place apart. The carolina sauce is semi-aurhentic but 100% awesome with the Turkey.

• 9/6/25I have never had such dry bbq anything in my life.
The Brisket had literally no moisture in it at all.
The Ribs were tiny and had so much marbling that they weren't edible without having to spit out what couldn't be chewed with every single bite.
The SLOPPY JOE BBQ BRISKET is odd tasting, and crunchy.
The POTATO SALAD; BAKED BEANS and cornbread were all not fresh made at all. They have the consistency of thickener being added.
The CORNBREAD is dry, with oddly hard kernels of corn, but given the rest of the items, this is no surprise.
Incredibly disappointed. Will be sticking with Tex jacks. It's more expensive, but it's always fresh.
You won't get sauce you don't pay for, napkins; wipes, or plasticware, which is also weird given its BBQ

• 12/20/24ok first of all $75 and my drink was missing,the greens was not seasoned the beans were good,the,turkey,was,good,the mac is like the golden corral mac if u like that ,the sandwich was decent The Wings taste Old rubbery the sauce was like water!! the bbq sauce was good tho!! no plastic wear or napkins!!!

• 9/6/25Turkey was excellent! CORNBREAD was moist and appreciated the sweetness. However everything was pretty mid. Hush Puppies and Heirloom Tomato Jam was nothing special. Cheeseburger has flavor but I couldn't stand the greasiness. Thankfully they gave me an extra Cheeseburger by accident---so I can practice tossing things into the trash. MAC N CHEESE is okay and not a classic take, but feel free to take a gamble on the flavor town! I should've ordered the regular brisket and the SLOPPY JOE BBQ BRISKET seemed promising but the seasoning was really strange and not for me.
The FRENCH FRIES need to be put into a different container as they were soggy upon arrival.

• 1/19/22Barbecue is the best in the region! Recommend the creamy yet crunchy slaw. Tater tots were creamy with perfectly crisp exterior and nice flavor. Very flavorful banana pudding but portion too small for price.
