I tried Tamale Boy for the first time last week and really enjoyed it! The tamales were HUGE, moist, and flavorful. The side of rice I got was your standard Mexican rice, but I was pleasantly surprised by the flavor of their refried beans - you could really taste smoky pork and onions, which made the beans stand out. I'll definitely order from Tamale Boy again.

I’m from South Texas and a dozen Tamales are 7-8 dollars at the best Tamales in the world which is Delia's Tamales in the Rio Grande Valley but they are smaller softer but flavor wise so much better. These looked cool but the masa was hard the filling just wasn't great but I put 3 stars because these tamales come from a very different food tradition and I’m sure people that are used to this style enjoy them. For a South Texas transplant you aren't going to find anything the same as home in this entire state.

The Tamalito de Rajas con Pollo with a side of sour cream delivers the same incredible burst of flavor every single time. It’s one of those dishes you keep coming back for because it’s consistently delicious!
And the nachos… or as we like to call them… OMG, the SUPER Nachos! 🤤 Simply fantastic! If you’re ordering delivery, do yourself a favor and get the chips on the side so they stay perfectly crisp. Totally worth it! #portlandfoodslut is definitely going to post about this

The Burrito Encuerado is so delicious! The flavors are really fresh and perfectly seasoned. Everything was perfect. New fav Mexican restaurant.
