"The chicken was great for fast food standards-- well fried (crispy but still satisfyingly light, breading well attached) with chicken great quality (tender, juicy, not processed) and incredibly well and throughly seasoned with a unique, delicious blend. The slider itself is very well designed to balance out hotter chicken, and isn't too soggy/ messy despite the large size.
The base fries were done really well-- fresh, soft but light crispy, no weird pieces, not too oily/ salty. The cheese, while evenly spreads tasted very cheap/ artifical even for nacho cheese and overpowered the fries... probably wouldn't upgrade again.
The extra pickles on the side is a great touch-- very balancing. The side sauce is also appreciated since there isn't quite enough slaw/ sauce on the slider for personal preference.
The Mac and cheese was also rather unique-- being so creamy and cheesy but also softer noodles helped create something very cohesively satisfying, if only the cheese tasting a little artificial"

I got the Fat Knight and Fat Filipino (which they subbed for my original order of the Fat Delta U, which they don't call to confirm for. Inside the arrived plastic bag, held two individually stickered wrapped foil sandwiches inside individual paper bags. Unwrapping the foil outside held a cut in half sandwich that was wrapped in a paper like lining. They wrap it in the paper and cut it in half and then wrap that inside the foil and sticker the seam. The paper will definitely absorb any sauces, so unwrapping can be a little messy.

"Everything was delicious! The large, aluminum to-go tray is a special touch and keeps most items separated nicely. I ordered the Dinner Quesadillas (chicken), a Cheese Chile Relleno, and Queso Dip which also came with chips and salsa. The chile relleno is the best I have tasted in Gainesville! The quesadilla also had good flavor. The meal was a generous size; so much so that I could barely eat half. I will enjoy the leftovers tomorrow, which I can easily warm up in a toaster oven or conventional oven in the tray. This was my first time ordering from Las Carretas, and I will definitely be a repeat customer. It is worth Door Dash ordering to get such great food, and I look forward to dining in the restaurant soon. "

"Omg.. I was blown out of the bridge with how yummy everything was! The Mojarra Frita was so fresh, even my 5 year old couldn't stop eating it! T.T it was fried more than I'm used to but it was still delectable.. we ate everything, even some of the bones (mostly me) >.< lol It was so hard to share, lol.. it was just so yummy and we couldn't get enough. The Chips, Salsa & Queso is always a win for me! I've been eating here since 2019 and a grateful they are still around! They even accommodated me by replacing the rice and beans and gave me a fresh salad with spicy red peppers in it, I was IN HEAVEN! I love that they will accommodate that for me! Forever a fan! "This is the 1st Mexican restaurant we've tried since moving here from WPB Fl. This was the worst food I've ever had! Including Mexican from NCarolina! Carne asada meat was so hard and dry, refried beans had a tin flavor, rice had zero flavor and the girl in the front was Rude to top it All off. Zero Out of Ten I DO NOT RECOMMEND. We will never eat there again, Even worse a waste of more than $60"
