This was actually my first purchase, but it certainly won't be my last. The buns are big, beautiful, and as flaky as a classic French croissant. Not too airy, not too sweet. And they're sticky, but not too. In other words, they are very French. Refined and delicious, with just enough cinnamon, pecans, and icing. Though Patis is an established chain and my store is in Teaneck, New Jersey, eating this bun transported me to say, a singular local bakery on the Champs-Élysées, where you go for an exquisite and indulgent sweet treat. Potatoes on the side are well seasoned and some still crunchy (even though steamed in the box) only wish the toast for the egg dish came with some butter and some ketchup for the potatoes.
