The box was floppy and partially smashed, which didn’t help the presentation. The toppings were incredibly skimpy. Two slices of pepperoni per slice is just embarrassing for a $35 large pizza. The crust and cheese tasted more like a frozen grocery store pizza that had been thrown in the oven than something made fresh. For the price, I expected a quality pizza loaded with toppings. The hamburger I ordered along with it was just so I could have something too and save on delivery fee was surprisingly good! It is a legitimate good burger! And with cheddar cheese! They let you pick your cheese! And the soda is obviously a fountain drink, which is cool. I like that! The mashed potatoes I don’t like this thing that people are doing where they’re putting them in little cardboard cups, and putting a top on it and they’re just all mushed in there. It’s just they dry out and it’s just like a disrespectful way to serve one of the best foods in the world. I just shake my head. I’m like oh God not that again. I know a lot of the places in the area are doing it and it’s not right, someone’s going to hell for this! Urban Plates doesn’t do that. They do it on in the container with your food where it has sauce or gravy on it and it’s normal… you know mashed potatoes! This is not proper. I think I’ve made that point. I hope y’all get your act together on that because you could’ve put it in with my hamburger in that container was plenty big enough just put it in the container and throw a little something wet on it, preferably gravy. I had delivery service today but the other day when I went in for the first time, Oscar, our server gave us a great first experience with his wonderful, personality and helpful suggestions. The food is delicious. It is a place for people of all ages to come and enjoy a very good breakfast. I ordered eggs today they were scrambled they were perfectly cooked. I also had the potatoes very good as well and waffles with the Nutella and fresh strawberries. I called the restaurant because I wanted them to add in some ketchup and syrup and the response was absolutely no problem. Everything came as I ordered and it's delicious."
"The Fishing for Compliments was not great. There was a lot of fish and not so much flavor. The seasoned potatoes are always good, the Side of Fresh Fruit was ok. Tasted fine but the fruit looked a little brutalized. Not sure if that happened during prep or delivery. I've liked other things here but the Fishing for Compliments was not it."
