"Our 1st time ordering here, it's new and close to home, so we went for it! I had the 9. Gyro Bowl - I was a little worried because the restaurant doesn't let you make any notes, so when I picked "mild" I was a little scared because, yes, I am a wimp when it comes to spice and it was delicious!! The meat was tender & flavorful! It was a pretty good portion size - definitely no leftovers. My son had the Shawarma (Beef & lam) - I don't get an unwrapped shawarma pic from him. It did come with about 20 fries (lol) - I wouldn't mind seeing more fries included. He said the meat was tender/flavorful and it sounds like he's saving half of it "for later". "I’m writing this review based on my personal experience at International Mediterranean Market & Restaurant on August 30, 2026. I spent almost $90 on my order, and I was extremely disappointed with what I received.
I’m posting a photo of the actual food so people can see exactly what I’m talking about. For almost $90, the portions were surprisingly small. There was only a little rice, and the salad portion was so small that it was not even enough for one person. The fries were soggy and did not taste fresh.
The kebab was the biggest disappointment. It was extremely dry, had a very unpleasant smell, and did not taste properly prepared. My family did not want to eat the food, and the order was basically left uneaten.
Because we couldn’t eat the food, I had to place another order from a different restaurant that same day. So not only did I waste almost $90, but I also had to spend additional money and wait again just to get dinner for my family.
The customer service was also disappointing. The employee who handed me my order, Hamid, was rude and disrespectful during my interaction with him. After spending almost $90, I expected at minimum to receive fresh food, reasonable portions, and respectful customer service.
I’m not exaggerating or judging based on someone else’s experience — this is exactly what happened with my order on August 30, 2026, and the photo shows what I received.
Based on my experience, I do not recommend International Mediterranean Market & Restaurant to anyone. The food quality, portion sizes, customer service, and overall experience were absolutely not worth the money. I personally will not be ordering from here again.

I ordered two of the Moa'ajanat (Savory Pastries), one Kubbah and one Kaaeak Nabulsi Cheese, and a Saffron Latte (16oz). They were both delicious and seasoned wonderfully, but the kaaeak nabulsi was perfection. The saffron latte seemed a little small, especially for the price, at first but then I realized that I'm used to ordering larger sizes and remembered how expensive saffron is and it makes sense. Either way, it's one of the best lattes I've ever had, and I loved that I could see minced saffron threads in the latte showing that actual saffron was used and not some type of syrup.
All together, this made for a satisfying, light breakfast, and I am already looking forward to placing my next order."

"First time trying this place, thought it was going to be decent, but I was surprised at how delicious it is. I got Special Qabuli Palaw, Mantu, and the Special Juice Mix. I'll also say I was surprised how big everything is, lately most places have been reducing the size of portions, but this was quite a bit of food. No idea what's in the juice mix, might just be all their other juices mixed together, all I know is it's delicious. The sauce stuff on the Mantu is insanely good, and the meat in the Special Qabuli Palaw is also crazy good, it also had these little things that look kinda like beans, from the picture I thought they would be raisins or something, no idea what they actually are, but they're delicious. Honestly all around I couldn't recommend this place more, a lot of places these days are just "good", but this place was absolutely amazing, and considering it was delivery and I didn't eat it fresh there, it surprises me even more."

• Greek Gyro Bowl with Fire Feta – 4/5
This dish had a good balance of gyro meat, roasted vegetables, rice, and fire feta sauce. I deducted one star due to the rice being slightly overcooked and crispy, with a hint of burnt flavor. Despite that, I would order it again.
• Lemon Soup – 0/5
I was charged nearly $9 for what appeared to be a cup, not a bowl, but a cup of soup. It may have been a portioning mistake, but the quality was the bigger issue. Instead of the usual bright, lemony broth, the soup was brown, oily, and had an unpleasant, overcooked chicken flavor. There was no noticeable lemon taste. Very disappointing.

While reasonably priced at around $3, the baklava was extremely underwhelming. It lacked the signature honey flavor and sticky texture, and instead tasted dry and stale, almost as if it had been sitting out for an extended period. Another letdown."
