For less than the cost of other places (like the Hawaiian catering we often get), Al Hamra provided an amazing array of absolutely delicious 5 kinds of meats (the beef kebab and chicken shawarma were faves), rice, salad, hummus, pita, and more. Our party guests raved about how tender the kebabs were. We had more compliments than we ever have, and people leaving kept asking to take some home (there was plenty left over!). "First thing that caught me when I took the bag from the Dasher was the yummy aroma of the Crispy Saffron Rice Cake with Braised Chicken & Barberries. I was like, yeah, this is going to be good. The food container was wrapped with a lovely decorative paper ribbon. Nice touch! When I opened the container, I was greeted with a beautiful paper wrapping (see my photo). Nice presentation! When I opened the wrapper there stood a beautiful Crispy Saffron Rice Cake with Braised Chicken & Barberries. (See photos). Amazing presentation!! Tje cake was gorgeous! The flavor was good---you can taste the spices listed in the description. The crusty rice was nice! I added a little bit of salt and it was really good. As I started eating I felt like I should have gotten tomato and cucumber salad to add a little acid and balance out the richness of the meal (I know, I sound like some Food TV chef x-D, but for me it was true). So I cut up a vine tomato, salted it and ate it with the food and it was really tasty to me. The rice cake may look "small" but once you cut it open you see it's a generous portion--I could not finish it. Also delicious was the Pistacho Baklava. I will definitely order again. And if you're into minimal waste, you'll like their packaging and the wooden utensils. I like actual flatware (hard plastic or metal) so next time I'll say no utensils. "

"I got the Chicken Shawarma Wrap with fries and added the pickled turnip. The portions were sizeable, although I was disappointed I paid extra for only two measly pieces of turnip. The wrap tasted ok but I should've gotten some garlic sauce to add to it because it lacked the flavor I'm used to in middle eastern/mediterranean food. However, the laffa was great and the ingredients were fresh. I also got the Side Falafel which came with 4 pieces and sauce. Again, these were lacking in flavor and we wish we had more sauce to drench them in. And maybe a bit over-fried for my liking. The french fries were probably the best part - so good! We'd order from them again for the fries alone."
