First thing that caught me when I took the bag from the Dasher was the yummy aroma of the Crispy Saffron Rice Cake with Braised Chicken & Barberries. I was like, yeah, this is going to be good. The food container was wrapped with a lovely decorative paper ribbon. Nice touch! When I opened the container, I was greeted with a beautiful paper wrapping (see my photo). Nice presentation! When I opened the wrapper there stood a beautiful Crispy Saffron Rice Cake with Braised Chicken & Barberries. (See photos). Amazing presentation!! Tje cake was gorgeous! The flavor was good---you can taste the spices listed in the description. The crusty rice was nice! I added a little bit of salt and it was really good. As I started eating I felt like I should have gotten tomato and cucumber salad to add a little acid and balance out the richness of the meal (I know, I sound like some Food TV chef x-D, but for me it was true). So I cut up a vine tomato, salted it and ate it with the food and it was really tasty to me. The rice cake may look "small" but once you cut it open you see it's a generous portion--I could not finish it. Also delicious was the Pistacho Baklava. I will definitely order again. And if you're into minimal waste, you'll like their packaging and the wooden utensils. I like actual flatware (hard plastic or metal) so next time I'll say no utensils.

We ordered the Chickpea Croquettes - Falāfel in a wrap and the saffron mint lemonade, everything was delicious and fresh. I've never had falafel so delicious, it's crispy outside and moist inside and very flavorful. And the portion is good. I will continue to support and recommend it.

I just had my first experience ordering from KUKU Café through DoorDash, and I am beyond impressed! I ordered the braised lamb shank with fava bean and dill rice, known as Baghali Polo ba Mahicheh — and it was absolutely incredible. In my 24 years living in the U.S., I have never tasted a dish that captured the freshness and homemade quality of true Persian cooking like this one did. Every bite was full of authentic flavor and made with such care.
The packaging was equally amazing — beautifully designed, clean, unique, and effortlessly chic, proudly showcasing Persian culture in the most elegant way. It’s clear that so much thought and love went into every detail.
I will definitely be sending more customers your way, and I cannot wait to visit in person to enjoy a meal at your café. Thank you for such an unforgettable experience!
