Initially skeptical, I'm now impressed with a place I assumed was a typical corner shop. Some time after 6am I got the craving for lunch. Sketchy sleep schedule, you know how it is. The only place that looked good was Ryan's. I got Shrimp and 4 pieces dark combo for later. I wanted to count the shrimps because Popeyes burned me with only 17 shrimp for around $10. I lost count around 60 - it was SO much. The taste & texture was stellar, beautiful color, virtually no grease. With just as many fries, it took an hour to eat. Kudos to them for giving a nice amount of tartar sauce & ketchup. Side salad was fresh & simple. I can't know if every dish will be this fantastic, but I can tell these folks care about making quality food.
The chicken was also really good, both fresh and after I heated it up in the evening. Fries, ketchup, and a can of Coke included (customized request).

"I've ordered from this place twice and both times, I had a Cheese Burger and Shrimp Basket. It's really enjoyable food, but the shrimp basket is a little pricey and apparently the burger doesn't come with fries, even though it sure looks like it from their menu photo; the shrimp basket had fries included each time but nothing extra for a second burger, so it wasn't just adding the fries to a basket. The quality of food is top tier. Shrimp is light, tender, and delicious without being overly greasy. The burgers are amazing. They taste like REAL burgers cooked with REAL ground beef. Just like you'd make at home. Both times, the burgers came dressed with lettuce and mayo, and maybe onion? There wasn't anything that made the buns soggy, which I appreciate. That said, I paid for 2 Tartar sauce but only got 1, so I'd avoid ordering multiple sauces. I'd like to see fries with the burgers in the future rather than padding out the basket to appear more full. Great food tho 4/5 👍"
"My first time trying Geaux Philly and everything was delicious! I had the Geaux Burger, Hot Chicken Wings and Biscoff cheesecake. That was one of the best burgers I've had, it was full of flavor. The wings were really good too. I loved the cheesecake egg rolls too and can't wait to order them again. You definitely get a good portion and the prices are reasonable. I'd definitely recommend if you're looking for fresh and flavorful food in Hammond."
