The wings were a bit spicier than the mild Im used to, but they were still really good. You can tell they're good just by their orange color. And they weren't super saucy, which i like because it's less messy. Idk about anyone else, but im not interested in being the reason buffalo wing sauce ends up on the hotel sheets.

"The portions were huge for the price. I'm used to paying $15 for pasta and getting a small to medium pan but the Fettuccine Chicken Alfredo and Penne Pesto came in the large aluminum pans. I'm ordered it w/o Boom sauce. Bacon was cooked fully not raw like other restaurants. Egg was the right size and cooked perfectly. I'm not normally an American Cheese person but it was actually good all together. Patty was not dry not overcooked. Slider was sized right.
Cheese curds were great alone. Chicken bites were real white meat chicken breast so that's way better than all the other restaurants but the batter had no specific flavor, it was not dry just no specific flavor. Cajun fries were good but the large is like for 3 ppl. Surprisingly, the packaging was good, they use the paper sheets around fries not just under which helps not letting the fries get soggy in the cardboard boxes."

"I’ll be honest — when I opened the bag and saw no complimentary bread and olive oil, I was disappointed. Most Italian spots include that, so it threw me off.

"I’ll admit, I was reluctant to try this restaurant because it replaced an Italian restaurant I had really enjoyed for years. I honestly didn’t think it could measure up. Well, I was wrong. It’s even better!
The quality of the food is consistently outstanding, and the portions are incredibly generous. I’ve worked my way through a good portion of the menu, including the lasagna, spaghetti Bolognese, fettuccine Bolognese, penne alla vodka, fettuccine Alfredo, chicken Parmesan, and tiramisu. And the homemade garlic bread? Absolutely to die for!
I typically order through DoorDash, although I have dined in once. My only disappointment with the food was the chicken Parmesan, which was a little dry. However, I’ve only ordered it once, so I’m willing to chalk that up to an off night.
My one suggestion would be to elevate the dining atmosphere to match the exceptional quality of the food. The interior feels more like an older, casual diner than the inviting Italian dining experience the food deserves. It’s a bit of a disconnect because the kitchen is clearly turning out food worthy of a much more polished setting.
That said, the food is the star of the show, and it’s what keeps me coming back. I’m so glad I finally gave this restaurant a chance. It has more than earned a loyal customer!"

"I order a 16 oz( double portion meat) Fraldinha (Bottom Sirloin) - 8 oz but it was not 16 oz. They will have to check their portion size before they pack pick up order. The Picanha Empanadas (6) were tasty but it was the size of raviolis again not worth the price you pay for. Chicken Breast (Frango) – 8 oz was very dry and hard to chew but seasoned well. Pão de Queijo (GF) | Brazilian Cheese Bread (12) was are favorite when we dined in the restaurant but the package one was greased and all smashed which I am not sure why but flavor was still amazing. Final comment would be on packaging, the quality is not the issue but the size is, just for. Single chicken or hand full of Picanha Empanadas (6) the packaging was wastefully large. They can get smaller containers and save money and planet."

The menu is packed with standout dishes, and many of them feel truly unique to Sushishima in the San Antonio area. My favorites that keep me coming back are the Oshinko Sampler, Uni Over Scallop Deluxe, Crown Ika BBQ, Crispy Soft-Shell Crab, Wagy-Uni, Naruto — and honestly, basically everything on the menu! Every visit seems to turn into discovering another favorite.
The chefs are knowledgeable, well-trained, and clearly take pride in what they serve. The quality, presentation, and consistency are exactly what set this place apart. The staff is also friendly and welcoming, which makes dining in a pleasure, but the food also travels surprisingly well for delivery.
Sushishima is one of those rare restaurants that delivers on every level: creative dishes, great service, excellent execution, and peak consistency, and most importantly, they don't cancel last minute orders like Kumori does! I cannot recommend Sushishima highly enough."

"It's alright, but not spectacular. Sushi portions are small for the price. Cooked food flavors aren't as robust as other Japanese places.
The Tuna Maki and Hamachi Scallion Maki were good but rolls were very small with six pieces. You really can't taste a big difference in fish quality compared to other places, so the price doesn't feel justified.
The Chicken Karaage was ok. Favor wasn't robust or complex. The sauce had some tang that didn't compliment the dish well. The portion was very small compared to other place like Hoka Hoka Fuku that give 2-3 times as much and cost a few dollars less with better flavor (sweetness).
The Yaki Ramen (Stir-fry Ramen) was generously portioned for the price. There was a good variety of protein and the grilled shrimp in it was excellent. The noodles were greasier than I would have liked but some people might enjoy it. There were slight bitter and burned tastes mixed with the umami flavors. Could have been more complex."
