I ordered from Basil Box for the first time today. I ordered the lemon grass chicken with rice because it was the #1 most ordered item on their menu.
It was very underwhelming, and I feel like I could make something better at home. There was too much rice compared to the toppings, the bell peppers were not roasted despite being advertised as such and without the sauce drizzled on top there bowl virtually had no flavour.
I was very shocked at how meh this dish was considering the many positive reviews.

Flavor was good, but there were only 4.5 tiny shrimp. Definitely would have been a 5 if there was more shrimp

Chicken Pad Thai was really bland and dry, honestly couldnt be considered Pad Thai. Fries were quite good with a decent portion alongside the Sweet Chili Mayo.

Arguably the most bland Pad Thai I've ever had. There was no sauce whatsoever. the noodles were sticking together they were so dry. The only flavour came from vegetables sprinkled on top.
Seemed like there was potential because the menu suggests quality ingredients, gluten-free & vegan options, and no msg - that's the only reason it's getting 2 stars instead of 1.
disappointing because the reviews are good and we had high hopes.
