They make great brisket sandwiches here. The moist brisket is especially flavorful. I always order the dark meat on their 1/4 chicken. Meat is tender and succulent, falling off the bone. So good! I appreciate that they bag the cold drinks separately from the hot foods. And they read the order notes!! The potato salad is a favorite--it's awesome!

Seriously delicious!! The brisket is awesome! Just a little fat unlike some posers! Could use 1 tsp more brown sauce on the mashed potatoes. The green beans are spot on perfect! Green beans are a superfood! Thank you!

I just bought a sliced brisket sandwich and a side of potato salad, with banana pudding for dessert. I'm picky about my potato salad and they make it like my grandmothers: Creamy yes, but also with some potato bites, they don't overdo the pickles, celery, eggs, and onions, just enough. it also goes without saying I like their moist brisket best, but they also have a leaner cut if you prefer, but I like the moist on a sandwich. My other favorite is their pork ribs, always tender and tasty. what can I say... I like this place. if I'm getting BBQ, it's usually from here. I try to obstain from ordering their pudding; but I usually lose. They make it right: real vanilla cooked pudding, bananas, and crispy vanilla waffers on top. My only complaint is I have to get extra onions and pickles for sandwich and sometimes I forget. They also serve a miniscule amount of beans when you order a BBQ Plate (more like a size for the BBQ sauce than beans). If you like beans and their borscht beans are really good too, you need to go up a size. But, I've been going to Donn's somewhere in Austin for over 30+ years, so yep, a thumbs up from me.

Just came into town , didn't eat last night, ate late today. Was hoping for something good but I got the best. The brisket Brisket Plate and Medium Peach Cobbler saved my life today, the onion rings and potato salad and pickles remind me of being taken care of properly. Thanks !

I've eaten here before but never tried the menudo. I'm so glad I did! It is flavorful and comes with all the dressings. The fact that it comes with lots of hominy is what I love best!
