El Chipotle Taqueria in Santa Cruz is loved for its authentic Mexican food, big portions, and friendly service. Popular favorites include carnitas and carne asada tacos, enchiladas, and crispy flautas…
This time, we got the California Burrito and the Chimichanga Plate with carne asada. Both were delicious! This is our go-to neighborhood place. Ingredients are always high quality and portions are pretty big, so you get great value for your money. Cant go wrong here!

Worst super burrito ever. HUGE doughy taco shell and a ton of rice. Ordered guacamole, sour cream and extra salsa on the side and got none of them. Dull flavor with super hot chip dip. Spend a little more and get better at many other Mexican restaurants.

All the food was super delicious and authentic. Kids burrito is normal size. Tacos had great meat portions. Packaging kept food fresh and flavor is consistent!! I definitely recommend and would order again

10 stars, these tacos were sooooooo bomb! I got one pastor, one carnitas, one carne asada and they all were delicious. A little pricey but so worth it. Honestly any taco plate in Santa Cruz is 15 plus, so this is really worth it for authentic tacos. Enjoy

I don’t usually leave bad reviews because I know everyone can have an off day. That said, I feel compelled to review the order I received tonight. I ordered a triple fajita plate (beef, chicken, shrimp) and paid extra for three meats and additional peppers and onions. The food arrived cold (which I could heat it up, no problem). The food was inedible, unfortunately. The beef was extremely thin and full of gristle, the chicken was clumped together with excessive gristle and connective tissue and the shrimp was rock hard (literally) and had a strong fishy taste. I've never seen shrimp that overcooked, it was quite shocking. I also did not receive the extra peppers and onions I paid for.
To make matters worse, the side of French fries was equally disappointing for my son—cold, undercooked, and soggy. These fries likely could have been great if allowed to cook fully and properly, but they were completely inedible. Cold, soft, soggy fries are unacceptable to serve. This was a major letdown from a restaurant I typically really enjoy.
