My coworkers said this was the best chicken and I finally got around to trying it. They weren't wrong! So good! The Fried Clam Strips have nice-sized pieces and the Hush Puppies are so flavorful! I ordered the Soul Side Special and opted for the 6-chicken wings. The chicken isn't overly breaded, still crunchy when delivered, and also full of flavor! I can't wait to try other things on the menu. The collared greens don't seem to be cooked with pork or bacon, so if you're looking for that flavor, it isn't there. The mac and cheese aren't overpowering with the cheese flavor. Both are still good, though, and taste like it's home-cooked. We ordered the single-serving Coconut Pie and it's prepackaged by a company called Sweet Pie Ventures, so I don't think it's made in-house. The Chocolate cake was a good size, but also doesn't seem as though it's made in-house (I could be wrong). It's not as chocolatey as I would have hoped. Overall, very good! My only regret is I didn't try this sooner!

Fried Okra - very well seasoned, not greasys I would have expected. And you can see you get your money's worth.
Catfish Nuggets - another hit with perfect seasoning and just the right level of crispy.
Collard Greens - doesn't taste like they were cooked in meat, very good decision. Unfortunately, these were not cleaned very well and very gritty.
Half & Half - tasty but very very sweet.
Every thing tasted fresh.
