Some of the most delicious dishes from China are unknown to those who have never traveled there. We aim to change that by introducing some new tastes to Middleton from both the Shanxi region of northe…
This was soooo good! 1. Tofu Stir-fried Noodles 豆腐炒面 were hot and delicious. These noodles were the perfect comfort food. There was plenty of tofu and veggies. But the noodles are truly the main event. They were perfectly cooked and not mushy.
The A2. Egg roll 卷 (2) were good. I was pleasantly surprised to get 8 mini egg rolls. They were crispy and hot. But they were not spectacular.
The dishes might seem a little pricey, but the portions are massive. This was enough food for 2 average adults. And the noodle quality was top notch. You certainly get your money's worth here!
Highly recommend.

Noodles had no flavor and almost no chicken was added Sesame chicken had way too much sweet and sour sauce which made the chicken soggy. Really disappointing for $60. Unfortunately won't order from here again.

The noodles are phenomenal!!! Andi love that they have lotus root in the 24B. Four Color Veggie Stir-fried Noodles 蒜炒四色菜炒面 , however, for the price, they kinda really skimped on the vegetables in the dish. My only other issues are the prices for things like egg rolls, fried rice, #3 Scallion Pancake 葱油饼 (of which were pretty bland)... but, damn, their homemade noodles are incredible!!
Oh, and wish they wouldn't use styrofoam containers (but I shouldn't be ordering takeout, either!)

89. Taigu Fried Rice / 太谷炒饭 was really delicious. I love that this fried rice has a combination of chicken, shrimp and beef. This is a great option if you can't decide what protein to choose for your fried rice. I gave this a four star because I felt like this didn't have many shrimp pieces compared to the other proteins but the taste was really good overall. They do have an option to add extra protein if you would prefer. With that said, I would still order this again and maybe add extra protein in my next order.

I have been eyeing this menu for a while and dying to try Taigu, despite the extremely high prices and the fact that it's all the way on the other side of town from me. I finally gave in and splurged on myself for a bit of a birthday dinner.
First off, I was inpressed that the food was still warm despite being over 7 miles away.
First impression of the 24B. Four Color Veggie Stir-fried Noodles 蒜炒四色菜炒面 was that, though the portion was huge... but the amount of vegetables was on the very skimpy side... there's an option to add extra veggies for $3.75... the meal was already $20... I shouldn't have to pay more for more for an adequate amt of veggies.
Everything looked great and I know it would've been amazing BUT!!! before even getting a chance to taste, all I could smell was a strong chemical or burnt plastic odor which was a bit alarming. I ignored it after a second and dug in. The chemical/plastic flavor permeated the entire dish. It was as if someone melted a plastic spoon or spatula in the pan OR, what I think: perhaps the food was so hot when put into the styrofoam container that, during the delivery ride, the chemicals leached into the food (WISH RESTAURANTS WOULD STOP USING STYROFOAM!!). I could tell that the dish would've been excellent if it weren't for the chemical odor/taste. The combination of vegetables in this is so good. But, I sadly couldn't eat it. (DoorDash did give me a refund).
The other order was the 87. Vegetable and Egg Fried Rice / 蛋菜炒饭 which was delivered in paper Chinese boxes (not styrofoam)
Normally I wouldn't have ordered a $20 order of fried rice but in my head (and based on reviews), I was assuming it would have to be like the best fried rice I've ever had...
while the portion was HUGE, the dish was extremely bland and the only thing that elevated it from other places were the vegetables, beyond the typical carrots and peas... also had like broccoli, water chestnuts, etc.
I would definitely love to go and try the noodles AT the restaurant some time.
But I think many things on their menu are EXTREMELY overpriced. I understand why the homemade noodles are expensive but so is everything else! And a restaurant that charges such exorbitant prices should be able to afford to-go containers that are environmentally friendly and NOT styrofoam!!
