This is hands' down one of the best restaurants in Davis. It is more of a Japanese bistro than a noodle house. Everything I've tried here - from the ramen to the kabocha squash fries to the sauteed brussels - has been excellent. I've been to many ramen restaurants in Sacramento, and I could immediately tell from the quality of the broth alone that the ramen would be exceptional. The service and ownership was also top knotch. Definitely try this place out!

I cant get enough of their Spicy Tan-Tan Ramen. I have tried numerous other ramen spots when visiting other areas, but nothing has ever compared. I've never even seen other resta make this version of spicy tan Spicy Tan-Tan Ramen. The flavor is exceptional, and the food is always high quality.

This place is truly a gem amongst all the various restaurants claiming to be Japanese cuisine. Both the [SP] Walnut Miso-Tonkotsu Ramen and the Tan-Tan Men are some of the best ramens ive ever had, even comparing to famous ramen houses in San Francisco like Marufuku Ramen. The broth for both ramens are complex and flavorful and the fresh toppings and noodles compliment the broth perfectly! Don't pass up the aji-tsuke tamago and I recommend getting the other half since the tamago is out of this world. If you don't try Yuchan Shokudo's ramen, you're doing yourself a great disserve.

The noodles were not done; still hard. The broth in the Tokyo Shoyu Ramen didn't have much flavor at all. I had to add sauces at home. There were also only two tiny pieces of pork.

The Chicken Thigh Katsu Curry Platter and Ikageso-age both tasted really delicious! The flavor was great, the portions were great, and everything was packed well and securely. Really great place both in-person and take-out!
