"Quality is nowhere close to back in the day. I tried them on a whim after about 8 yrs and was pretty disappointed. The fried rice barely had anything in it - 1/2 cup had 2 peas and 1 piece of egg. The "candied walnut" shrimp just had normal walnuts, they weren't candied and only had enough sauce to coat half of it. It wasn't super crispy either. The green beans were bland, I tasted no salt. The massaman and lettuce wraps also had almost no salt, I had to heavily dress it up and then it was OK. The goji berry soup was good although almost entirely noodles. And the crab ragoons were good.
I ended up chucking half of the food in the trash because it wasn't worth eating. Other chinese restaurants are much much better options. Unfortunately was super disappointing, it used to be so good."

"Tsaocaa's secretly a fried chicken place because their fried chicken is actually SO GOOD!! I recommend the honey garlic 10 pc, super juicy and addicting. It's definitely Asian style fried chicken that you'd find in East-Asia as compared to Southern-USA style fried chicken, as the batter is lighter and the flavor is on the sweeter side. The fuzhounese 'premium' milk teas from tsaocaa also tastes identical to some of the best milk teas I've had in China, and the soup dumplings are pretty good, one of the best you'll find in Raleigh right now. Also, about the vinegar sauce, dipping dumplings in black vinegar is how you are traditionally supposed to eat soup dumplings. "My first Chinese food since moving to Fuquay-Varina NC and I like it. I come from NYC, NJ, lived in AZ and FL (FL has really stepped up their game with pizza , all Italian, and Chinese. AZ was decades ago) Nothing will ever be NYC especially authentic Chinatown if you're lucky to have a connection to a place that doesn't put different menus out for non Chinese people. This food certainly doesn't disappoint. the fried rice is beautiful yellow with plenty of pork and flavor. Wonton soup broth is very good as are the wontons. They are huge, delicious and almost a meal themselves. The twice cooked pork is something I've never had so I really rolled the dice here. And WOW! Very good. the cabbage isn't too strong and the heat (I love the heat) isn't overbearing. The sauce is good too. You can almost "sense" the 5 spice. Not too much not too little. The Hibachi Steak is really good especially for what you pay- a lot of food for a large helping of steak, veggies, and rice at $13.87.
I'd definitely recommend this restaurant. I've never had an order I've been disappointed with (placed about 15+ by now overall). Great taste, nice portions, good prices, always comes with napkins and sauces and utensils.
The only downsides (which in my opinion are negligible) are that 1) if you're vegan/vegetarian and want the Hibachi Vegetable or another dish like that, I found a bit of chicken in mine once, so if you're super picky about that then I'd just find an alternative (maybe they just don't have a process set up to keep those ingredients separate when prepping orders). But for me I don't find that a big deal. And 2) That sometimes the order soaks through the bag if you get it to-go (which on DoorDash is the only option). Recommendation to Hibachi Sushi would be to just double bag each order if people feel like it's a problem, but honestly for me a paper towel and a spritz on whatever surface I accidentally put the bag down on is a good fix (and to put a paper plate underneath it for eating). Overall this doesn't make me give them less than 5 Stars though because how good the food and the service is outweighs minor little problems like that by a mile.
