"My order was almost two hours late. I called the store and it took almost ten minutes to answer the phone. The person that answered didn't make a bunch of excuses or apologies, it was clear that they simply were busy and didn't have enough drivers to handle all of the orders. They said my order was still there and when I confirmed that my order had just been sitting there, he explained that they don't even fire an order until they know it can be delivered. Made sense to me, I thanked him and asked when to expect my order. It arrived shortly after and everything was hot, fresh, and delicious. There was even a large cookie sitting on top of my order. I've had similar experiences through other pizza locations that could learn a lot from this. They've blamed things that were under their control, made no accommodations to make the situation right, shown attitude, and overall just handled the situation very unprofessionally. "Got the Gluten-Free ShackBurger® and had them add avocado, it was actually really good. Had a "gluten free" sticker on the box and everything. Its nice to see an actual gluten free item and not just "add a gf bun for an upcharge" like most places. I wish it had more avocado for what that addon costs, it had like 2 slices, maybe a third of an avocado on it, but all the toppings seemed very fresh (which isn't always the case at some places on a Monday evening) and it was still a good burger for an occasional treat and I'm sure I'll get it again sometime.
